Pear Halo Lab Grown Diamond Studs In 14K Gold

A pear shape lab grown diamond sits at the heart of each of these studs, outlined by a halo of small round diamonds that follows the teardrop shape all the way around.

The halo does more than frame the center stone. By tracing the pear outline with a continuous row of bright accents, it makes the whole face of the earring read as one larger, sparkling teardrop. In the 1 carat pair, each earring pairs a pear center of about 0.30 carat with 29 round accent diamonds; in the 2 carat pair, each pear is about 0.70 carat with 36 accents around it. The pear is set point up, the traditional orientation for pear studs, which gives each earring a graceful, lifted line. The 1 carat studs measure about 11.3 × 8.3 mm, and the 2 carat studs about 13.8 × 10 mm.

Every diamond in the pair is lab grown and F color or better, and each pair comes IGI certified. The 1 carat pairs in white and rose gold are VVS clarity or better, where inclusions are so small they are difficult to find even under 10x magnification; the 1 carat yellow gold pair and the 2 carat pair are VS clarity or better, with no inclusions visible to the eye. Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds, with the same crystal structure, hardness and fire as mined diamonds; they are simply grown in a controlled environment instead of mined from the ground.

Choose 14K White Gold, 14K Yellow Gold or 14K Rose Gold. White gold gives the brightest, most icy look around the diamonds, yellow gold adds warmth and makes the metal detail stand out, and rose gold gives a soft blush tone. Each earring is finished with double notch posts with push backs or posts and backs, depending on the carat weight you choose (the exact backs are listed in the specifications). The two notches on the post give the back secure resting points, so the stud sits close to the ear and stays in place through the day.
